PDF Printing/Viewing Problems |
Because the .pdf files located on our web pages were created with Word Perfect and then converted to .pdf files, there seems to be an issue with printing or viewing the .pdf files from within your internet browser. If you try to print a .pdf file from our pages and your browser locks up, or you try to view one and cannot see the whole image, follow these steps to have the .pdf file display in its own Acrobat window, not the browser:
1. Close your internet browser.
2. Open whichever version of Acrobat you have on your computer.
3. If you are using Acrobat version 4.0, then click on 'File', then 'Preferences', then 'General'. Near the bottom of the window that opens is a group of check boxes, one of which says 'Web Integration'. Uncheck this box, close Acrobat and then try to view a .pdf file again. You should now get a window that pops up asking what you want to do with the file. Your options are 'Open the file from its current location' and 'Save this file to disk'. Choose the 'Open' option and the .pdf file should now open in its own Acrobat window. You should now be able to print the document from there.
4. If you are using Acrobat version 5.0, you will need to click on 'Edit', then 'Preferences'. In the window that displays, on the left hand side is a list of topics. Click the one that says 'Options'. The very first check box displayed says 'Display .pdf in browser'. Uncheck this box, close Acrobat and try to view the document again. you should get the same window as mentioned in step 3. Follow those steps and you should be able to print the document now.
