2003 Airport Master Plan In 2003, Montgomery County Commissioner's Court accepted and approved an Airport Master Plan Update developed by Coffman Associates with the oversight and guidance of local community leaders and officials. A summary of information and improvements outlined in the study are contained in this printable document: This study has led to the identification of major modernization projects in the short and intermediate term for the airport. They include: Construction of Air Traffic Control Tower Extension and Reconstruction of Primary Runway 14/32 Development Area Taxiway Access New Road Access Private and Commercial Hangar Development Utilities Extension and Drainage Improvements Perimeter Fence Installation Improvements Development of an on-airport restaurant with taxi way access Hangar development continues on the airport with several private owners currently building and planning to build facilities over the next few years. Airport Construction projects continue: 1. Runway 14/32 reconstruction to be completed in June 2008 2. Air Traffic Control Tower Construction 3. Phase I of new northwest aviation area access taxiway and associated hangar development
